Martin Luther King envisioned a day when we were judged by the quality of our character, not by what group we belonged to. With the new religion of “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” (DEI) we are taking a step back from his vision.
DEI is rooted in Cultural Marxism and is nothing more than identity politics meant to divide us into groups, and pit one group against another in order to sow chaos and discord. It attempts to elevate one group over another, promotes victimhood, and now permeates society. The City Council of Hendersonville has embraced it fully.

A tiny virus known as COVID-19 that you cannot see has us cowering in our homes. It has shut down the world’s economy unleashing untold misery. For the first time in history because of our mobility and instant communications, we are witnessing the first truly global shared human experience. You cannot ignore it. Not in today’s media environment. Don’t get me wrong. It is a serious issue and the impact will last some time. 
Lately, conservative political pundits have been praising Lindsey Graham of South Carolina for his renewed support of Trump’s policies. The most obvious example was his speech during the Kavanaugh hearings where he, rightly so, called out the Democrat’s for their politicizing of the hearings. Of course, that was exactly why he did what he did: politics. 
The outrage at the Republicans for indicating they will not hold hearings on the President’s Supreme Court nominee is a study in the politics of the Supreme Court and an example of intellectual dishonesty that is rampant in our political discourse on both the left and the right. Let’s consider this latest example.
